FAQ
There are some unknowns but let us know if you have any additional questions.
How competitive will the game be?
This is first and foremost meant to be fun. While there is something on the line and we want to try and win the game, we expect there to be more errors, laughing, drinking, and teamwork than anything else. Most people will have played softball or baseball in the past, but many will be very rusty. Watch the Yeti Video for a better sense of the field and how games typically go.
Can I bring kids/dogs/others?
Yes! In fact it is great and designed to be a family event. The event space is family friendly and the venue allows for dogs on leashes. Please be prepared and pick up after yourself, your dogs, and your kids.
What should I bring?
Highly recommended to bring blankets or chairs to sit in. Treat it like a picnic of a day at the park. We are working on possibly bringing a food truck but eat before or bring snacks. Same for beer and booze – but to be safe bring a mini-cooler and some drinks of your choice.
What will I do if I am not playing baseball?
Hang out, mingle, listen to music, heckle the players, drink, make new friends, play yard games, etc.
Isn't there a UT football game that day?
There is, but it is has often been a night game in the past. If so come here as your tailgate and you can get to the game in plenty of time. Otherwise consider joining our once a year event in place of UT game. 🙂
Will there be parking there?
There is a limited amount of parking at the venue but we encourage people to carpool or use ride sharing options. We will have a better sense for exact number of parking spaces as time nears.
Do I need to buy tickets in advance?
While we will accept walk-ins and take donations at the door, at some point it is crucial for us to have an idea of attendance in order to plan accordingly so we encourage you to buy tickets in advance.
